2 little girls in a digger....

Friends of ours are building a house in Monson-literally! They are doing the site work themselves and have quite the assortment of heavy equipment. Dave, Sara and Carly went to check on the progress one warm, sunny day and this is the photo I got on my cellphone while I was at work! Sara is reading the blue prints and telling Carly where to dig! Note the "skort" Carly is wearing...it was a warm day!

Our 11th wedding anniversary!

Our original plans to "escape" to New Hampshire for the weekend fell through so we implemented "Plan B". On Friday the 17th, we dropped Carly off at pre-school (Sara was at school too) and quickly headed off to The Hampden Country Club for 18 holes of golf! Hampden is Dave's favorite course but I'm not sure why. Although incredibly beautiful and picturesque, it is built on a mountainside! I felt like a mountain goat at one point! The majority of the course is very hard and certainly way beyond my golfing abilities (right now). Dave played very well and we both had a fantastic time! I must have lost a dozen balls in the leaves (and ponds) but it was all good!. The sun was shining and the autumn colors were at their peak!

That evening we went out to Pinocchio's for a great dinner! It was a great celebration of our marriage 11 years ago.

Golf Buddies

On Sunday we golfed in the kids last golf outing with the Pioneer Valley Girls Golf gang. It was a beautiful, sunny and COLD day at the Southwick C.C. Dave and Carly shared a cart and Sara shared one with me. I had a hard time stopping her from driving it! Sara played well and had a drive straighter and farther than me! Carly chipped up and in for "birdie" from 15 ft. out! We saw a gorgeous red-tailed hawk on that hole...it was very close and very exciting for us all. Susan, the instructor, pointed out Sara and Carly to everyone durring dinner and explained that they are her hope for the future of the program! She noted that since Carly is only 4 years old she was not an official LPGA-Girls Golf member (yet) but that she was certainly one of the most dedicated, enthusiastic and cutest players ever! Carly blushed!!!! Then asked for some chocolate cake. (More golfing pic to follow)

Pig-Tails & Teeth

Carlys' idea of a funny face! Ya gotta love the big blue eyes, pig-tails and teeth. Carly commented that she had "minty-fresh breath" for this photo.
